If you have any queries about the influenza A (H1N1)

If you want to know more about the influenza A (H1N1) there are two telephone numbers available. 

One is the joint telephone service for the national authorities on 020-20 20 00.
If you have questions about the illness or symptoms, or you are wondering if you need to contact the medical services then it is best to call the second telephone number, 1177, which is the Medical advice line.

The information about influenza A (H1N1) has been jointly compiled by the following authorities, in conjunction with the county administrative boards and county health authorities: the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Medical Products Agency, the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control, the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.

The authorities’ joint telephone service

A phone line for queries about influenza A (H1N1) has been started jointly by the responsible authorities. The number is 020-20 20 00. On this line you can get your questions answered and also obtain details on where to find more information.

Answers to queries include general information about the illness, travel advice, the situation with regard to vaccinations and medicines, and what responsibilities the various authorities have.  The information is updated as and when required. All questions asked and answers given on the phone can be viewed on this website www.krisinformation.se (in Swedish).

This 24 hour telephone service is free of charge and should make it easier for members of the public to get answers to their questions, and to find the information they need.

1177 Medical advice line

You can always call 1177 Medical advice line with questions about health and medical care or visit their website at www.1177.se. You can find answers to questions about influenza A (H1N1), as well as information on illnesses in general and their symptoms. You can also get advice on what you can do yourself. And information about when you ought to contact the medical services and in which case who and where to contact.

The 1177 Medical advice line is provided by Sweden’s county health authorities and regions and is a free 24 hour service.
