Welcome to Krisinformation.se - the national website for emergency information
The Swedish government has instructed MSB (the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) to provide a national website for emergency information, directed at the general public and the media, in collaboration with other emergency management authorities.
The purpose of Krisinformation.se is to describe how emergency management works in Sweden, and to explain the roles and responsibilities of various authorities in the event of an emergency.
- Before an emergency, Krisinformation.se provides information about how emergency management works in Sweden.
- During an emergency, the site provides an overall view of events, and contact information for authorities whose area of responsibility is affected.
- After the emergency, it summarises events and describes experiences gained.
Krisinformation.se links to government authorities and agencies, municipalities and other actors’ websites, as well as to other websites relevant to emergency management. Its main task is to help find and relay the right information at the right time.
Krisinformation.se also serves as a channel for coordinated emergency information. In the event of an emergency, a special page is set up to provide the public with guidance on how they can quickly find the information they are seeking about the emergency. Via Krisinformation.se, the visitor can access the websites of the concerned authorities for information on the current situation and on what is being done.
The search function allows the visitor to search for emergency information from participants within the entire emergency management system.
When necessary, Krisinformation.se will also provide special cross-agency websites, for example www.fagelinfluensa.info (about bird flu).
