Special recommendations

In some Regions ("regioner" or "län"), special recommendations apply because of the spread of covid-19. Here is a list of those recommendations.
Updated

Gävleborg

Special recommendations:

The following recommendations apply:

  • Limit the number of new close contacts.
  • Work from home as often as you can. Where this is not possible, avoid crowds, keep a distance to others, and try to meet as few people as possible.
  • Stay away from public transport, shopping centres, and shops where crowds can occur.
  • Use disposable respiratory masks when near contact indoors over a protracted period cannot be avoided, for example, workplaces where it is difficult to maintain distance. Masks should always be used in public transport by those born in 2004 or earlier. Masks do not replace the rule of avoiding near contact and maintaining distance.
  • Employees and others with duties in a workplace where a major outbreak is taking place should avoid minimise meetings with others. Those who have had covid-19 within the last six months are excepted.

Stockholm

Special recommendations

Special recommendations for Stockholm County
The Stockholm Region announces that special recommendations apply:

  • The Infection Control Doctor recommends that upper secondary and upper secondary schools conduct remote education during week 10, in order to break any infection chains after the sports holiday.
  •  Monouse masks must always be worn in public transport and indoor environments where there is prolonged contact with other people.
  •  In the new current situation, you should only travel if strictly necessary. As the Regional sports holiday starts already next week, it is likely that few people will cancel their trip.

Sörmland

Special recommendations

Sörmland Region has implemented special recommendations. Among other things, you should refrain from unnecessary travel, wear a monouse mask in public transport and when close contact with others is unavoidable, work from home as often as possible, limit new contacts and avoid places with a risk of congestion. Schools should maintain partial distance education during weeks 9 och 10. Read more at Region Sörmland.

Uppsala

Special recommendations

These recommendations apply:

  • Use disposable respiratory masks in public transport and when near contact indoors over a longer period than fifteen minutes cannot be avoided. Masks do not replace the rule of avoiding near contact and maintaining distance whenever this is feasible. An exception is made for schools, where national recommendations apply.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel within the region and elsewhere in Sweden.

Västra Götaland

Special recommendations:

The following recommendations apply:

•    Limit the number of new close contacts. Only socialise with people with whom you normally meet. If you meet others, you should avoid being close to each other. Preferably spend time outdoors, but remember to keep your distance there as well.
•    Avoid public transport, shopping centres and shops if there is a risk of congestion. Choose to shop at times when a minimal number of other people will be present in the shop. Stay in the store as short a time as possible, and preferably shop alone.
•    Refrain from unnecessary travel. If you must travel, do so as protected from contagion as possible. Wear a monouse mask when using public transport and when near contact cannot be avoided. Note, however, that masks do not replace the rule of avoiding close contact and keeping your distance.
•    Continue working at home as often as possible. Where working from home is not possible, avoid congestion in the workplace, keep your distance and try to meet as few people as possible. This applies in coffee rooms and staff rooms as well. If you have even mild respiratory symptoms, stay home.
•    Infection Control recommends continued teaching in upper secondary school with a maximum of 20 percent contact education.
