Negative Covid-19 test result required for entry into Sweden
As of Saturday 6 February, foreign nationals will need to present a negative Covid-19 test result in order to travel into Sweden.
Sweden enters into EU agreement on covid-19 vaccine
Sweden will join in an agreement between the EU Commission and Astra Zeneca for the purchase of covid-19 vaccine. This was a governmental decision.
Covid-19 vaccination begins on 27 December
On 27 December, vaccination against Covid-19 will begin in retirement homes in Sweden. The first shipment, with 9750 doses, will be distributed to all regions of the country.
The travel warning is extended until 1 July
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Utrikesdepartementet, UD) has decided to extend its warning against non-essential travel until 1 July.
The Government: Ban on alcohol from 8 pm extended
The ban on serving alcohol between 8 pm and 11 am at venues serving food and drink is being extended until 28 February 2021.
Travel advisory for countries outside the EU/EEA extended
Today, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to extend the advisory against non-essential travel to countries outside the EU/EEA/Schengen area until 15 April.
