On 27 December, vaccination against Covid-19 will begin in retirement homes in Sweden. The first shipment, with 9750 doses, will be distributed to all regions of the country.
The government is tightening a number of restrictions ahead of the Christmas and New Year weekend. Most restrictions apply from December 24 to January 24.
Sweden will join in an agreement between the EU Commission and Astra Zeneca for the purchase of covid-19 vaccine. This was a governmental decision.
