If you see someone bleeding profusely, it is important to act quickly. Here is some information on what to think about.
If you notice someone bleeding profusely, the injury could be life-threatening. But how do you know if an injury is life-threatening? A good rule of thumb is that the pool of blood near the injured person should be the size of a plate or the equivalent of half a can of soda.

Call 112 or ask someone else to do it for you.

Find the bleeding.

Put pressure on the wound with straight arms.

Hold a bandage or cloth between them. The pressure will reduce or stop the bleeding.

If you get tired or need help, ask someone to squeeze your hands.

Keep squeezing until the paramedic tells you to let go.
