Incident at Brinell School in Fagersta
A person armed with a sword has broken into the school and injured several people. The perpetrator has been taken into police custody. Several schools have been placed under lockdown. Fagersta Municipality has opened a crisis centre.
The police are on the scene and are searching the school. The suspect has been taken into police custody. Brinell School, Olympen, Fagerstahallen, Risbro School, Skogsgläntan, Björksta, Prästkragen and Norrbybacken have been placed under lockdown.
The police are working at the scene and the public are urged to respect the cordons and follow the police’s instructions.
Crisis centre opened
Fagersta Municipality has opened a crisis centre at Risbrohallen. The crisis centre is open to anyone who needs support, information or someone to talk to following recent events.
