The Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ information for Swedes in Iran and Israel

On the morning of February 28, 2026, Israel and the United States launched an attack on Iran. Here we have compiled information from the Swedish embassies for Swedes who are in Israel, Iran, and neighboring countries. Swedish citizens are urged to register on the Swedish List, download the UD Resklar app, enable push notifications, and stay in contact with family members.

Test of the outdoor warning system

On March 2, the outdoor warning system is tested at 15.00 (3 pm). The signal sounds for 7 seconds, with 14 second breaks, for a total of 6 times. Afterwards, the “all clear” signal is tested, which is an uninterrupted 30-second signal. Read more on how the emergency warning system in Sweden works.
