Advice if you are feeling anxious

Everyone reacts differently in times of uncertainty. If you are feeling anxious, low or finding it hard to sleep, there are a few things you can do to manage your anxiety or stress yourself:

  • Carry on with your usual routines as best you can.
  • Try to keep yourself busy with things that make you feel good.
  • Try limiting your news intake if you feel that the news is making you more anxious or causing you to feel unwell.

Talk about your worries and how you are feeling

It helps to put your worries into words. Talk to someone you trust and tell them how you are feeling. If you would rather speak to someone outside your immediate circle, there are several organisations that offer support via telephone, chat or email.
