🔺 Red warning for wind in the westernmost county of Norrbotten
During Thursday afternoon and the beginning of the evening, it is expected to be very windy in the west-northwest wind with strong squalls, locally hurricane squalls.
How can this affect me?
- Very high risk for road blockages over a large area due to fallen trees.
- Severe delays in bus-, train-, air- and ferry traffic as well as canceled departures.
- Longer and more extensive power outages in areas with overgorund power lines in sparsely populated areas. The power outages may in turn lead to extensive interruptions in fixed and mobile networks for telecommunications.
- Extensive damage to buildings and high risk of smaller objects becoming projectiles.
- Very extensive forest damage.
