MFA advises against all unnecessary travel to Iran
Due to changes in the security situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on 9 January 2020 has decided to advise against all unnecessary travel to Iran. The reason is an altered security situation that is difficult to predict and that can change quickly.
Recent incidents have led to an escalation between Iran and the United States. MFA writes on its website that the situation is currently difficult to predict and can change quickly.
MFA urges Swedish citizens to follow the embassy's travel bulletins and media reports before and during any visits to Iran.
