The Government: Ban on serving alcohol after 20 pm extends

The ban means that the serving of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-like products are prohibited between 8 pm and 11 am in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

The background of the decision is the ongoing high rate of transmission of the virus that causes the covid-19 disease. Frequenting pubs, bars and restaurants may be associated with an increased risk of transmission.

Exceptions are made for serving refreshments in residential care homes and room service at hotels or minibars in hotel rooms.
