Warning for wind and snow in the Northern parts of the Lappland Mountains
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued an orange warning for wind and snow on the bare mountains of the Northern parts of the Lappland Mountains. SMHI strongly advises against going out on the mountains this weekend.
Rescue efforts in mountain environments will be more difficult.
It can be very difficult to move about and anchor tents. It can also be very difficult to orientate oneself due to severely reduced visibility.
The warning is in force from the night until Saturday to Sunday morning.
