On the security situation in Iran and Israel

Following the Israeli attacks on Iran and the Iranian attacks on Israel, the airspace in the two countries, as well as the airports, have been closed. Swedish embassies are limiting their opening hours for visitors and have tightened their advice to Swedes in the countries.

Iran

Swedes travelling to Iran should exercise extreme caution and avoid staying near sites that may have political, military or military-industrial significance. Minimise stay outdoors.

The Swedish embassy in Tehran is closed for visitors until Saturday 21 June.

You can call UD-Jouren on +46 8 405 50 05. Or send an e-mail to ud-kc-resefragor@gov.se or ambassaden.teheran@gov.se.

Israel

Israel's Civil Defence urges the public to carry out only necessary activities and to stay close to bomb shelters. Schools and workplaces are advised to stay closed.

Swedes in Israel are advised to keep themselves carefully updated through the country's civil defence authority, local authorities' instructions, the embassy's travel information and local media.

The Swedish embassy in Tel Aviv is closed for visitors on 16 and 17 June.
