The Aurora 26 military exercise will affect traffic

A major military exercise will take place in Sweden from April 27 to May 13. The exercise will affect road traffic.

The Swedish Armed Forces state that the exercise may affect traffic flow during certain periods due to increased military traffic on the roads. In addition, military vessels will be visible in ports and at sea. Air operations will also increase during this period.

Approximately 18,000 people are involved in the exercise.

According to the police, military vehicles may travel in convoys up to one kilometer long. Drivers who catch up to a convoy are urged to stay behind it and not attempt to pass.

The Swedish Transport Administration notes that the public should be prepared for travel times to be longer while the exercise is underway.
