The Swedish Medical Products Agency advises against self-testing for COVID-19

The Swedish Medical Products Agency advises against self-testing to prove COVID-19. Such tests can be purchased on the internet, but you run the risk of doing more harm than good because they are not reliable enough, states the agency.

Test kits for private individuals need to be especially safe and convenient, but there are currently no such on the market.

The Medical Products Agency does not advise against using sampling kits or tests which the healthcare system provides.
