Flooding in southern Sweden

Update February 19, 10.10: The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute ("SMHI") has issued class 2 warnings for high water flows in parts of Kronobergs county and Blekinge county. The water flows are expected to be high during this week.

Original message: The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued a class 2 warning for high water flows in parts of Västra Götaland, Halland and Jönköping counties. The high flows are expected to culminate over the course of the day on Tuesday, but the water level will remain high during the week.

Due to the heavy rainfall over the weekend, the water flows have risen to the class 2 level in Ätran, Viskan and Säveån. A class 2 warning has been issued for small watercourses in parts of Västra Götaland county and Jönköping county. Many watercourses in Götaland have water flows at the class 1 level.
