SMHI has issued class 2 warnings for very heavy rainfall in Gävleborg County and parts of Dalarna County. Rainfall of between 70 and 100 mm can be expected. SMHI has also issued class 1 warnings for heavy rainfall in a number of other counties.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, SMHI, issues class 2 warnings for very heavy rainfall when at least 70 mm of rain are expected to fall within 24 hours. This represents a major risk of flooding in basements, surface water systems and small watercourses, and a risk of flooded roads.

SMHI has also issued class 1 warnings for heavy rainfall in large parts of Västra Götaland County, Västmanland County, Uppsala County, Västernorrland County and parts of Västerbotten County. Rainfall of at least 35 mm is expected in those counties. These warnings are in force from Tuesday until Wednesday. Furthermore, SMHI has issued a risk of heavy rain in Skåne County.
