Class 2 snowfall alert for Norrbottens County
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued a class 2 storm warning in the interior of Norrbotten and the northern Lapland mountains from Wednesday afternoon and evening. Storm winds of 25 to 30 meters per second are expected.

In the Lapland mountains, it will also snow heavily, making the weather especially severe. The wind can reach hurricane strength and according to SMHI, it is dangerous to stay on the mountains. Class 2 is the most serious warning category for wind in mountain regions.
