Updated recommendations for Covid-19 testing

From 1 November, those fully vaccinated and those who have recently had Covid-19, do not need tests for Covid-19 if they get respiratory symptoms or fever. Like before, small children who have not yet started school, must not be tested. This following the Public Health Agency of Sweden (“Folkhälsomyndigheten”).

However those who are not vaccinated or have not recently had Covid-19 as well as healthcare and nursing staff are still advised to get tested if they experience symptoms.

Other groups that are still recommended to get tested are those who know they have been exposed to the virus or who are part of a contact tracing chain. This also applies if they are fully vaccinated.

Unvaccinated people who have not undergone Covid-19 during the past six months are also recommended to continue testing after a stay in a country outside the Nordic region. This also applies without symptoms.
