🔺 Recent rain has caused extremely high flows and flooding in the Gavleån River. SMHI has issued a red alert, which is the most serious level of SMHI weather alerts.

Update August 8th, 10.25: The warning regarding flooding in Åre has been withdrawn, but the residents of Åre are being asked to stay away from Susabäcken.
🔶 SMHI has issued an orange flood warning in the counties of Gävleborg, Halland, Kronoberg, Dalarna and Värmland. The risk of flooding is a result of the recent heavy rainfall.
🔺 SMHI has issued a red warning for high water levels in the counties of Västra Götaland, Värmland, Jönköping and Örebro. There are also yellow warnings for high water levels and for rain and torrential rain in other areas.
