Orange warning for high sea level

🔶 The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, SMHI, has issued a orange wheather warning regarding high sea levels on the coastal stretch between Malmö and Varberg in western Skåne and southern Halland.

High water levels are expected Thursday and will continue to rise and reach very high levels during Friday.

Risk for blockages on coastal road and rail networks due to flooding. Ports, buildings and commercial areas risk extensive damage due to flooding. Vertical clearance under bridges decreases, some wharfs and jetties may not be approachable and moored vessels may be damaged. Vulnerable coastal areas may suffer damage from erosion.

The warning is in effect from 11a.m. on Thursday to 10 a.m. on Saturday.
