Weather warning regarding strong winds and snowfall in the mountains
The Swedish weather authority SMHI has issued an orange level warning for wind in combination with snowfall for Lapplandsfjällen and northern parts of Jämtlandsfjällen. The warning is valid from Saturday evening.

The authorities strongly advise against going out in the mountains as rescue operations in mountain environments can be risky and take a long time.
The wind can make it very difficult to move and reduced visibility makes it very difficult to orientate yourself. There is a high risk of frostbite.
Note: Orange is the second highest level of weather warning.
