Orange warnings for snowfall in Svealand and Gävleborg counties
🔶 SMHI has issued two orange warnings for snowfall. From Monday evening until Tuesday morning, occasional heavy snowfall is expected in southwestern Svealand. From Monday evening until Tuesday morning, occasional heavy snowfall is expected in central Svealand and Gävleborg County.
SMHI has issued two warnings, both of which concern heavy snowfall and can lead to problems in traffic, among other things. The warning for southwestern Svealand applies from October 30 at 18:00 to October 31 at 06:00. The warning for central Svealand and Gävleborg County applies from October 30 at 21:00 to October 31 at 11:00.
How can this affect me?
- Very limited accessibility on roads that, for example, have not been cleared of snow or due to traffic accidents.
- Delays in bus-, train- and air traffic as well as canceled departures.
- Likely power outage in areas with overground power lines, which also affects mobile networks for telecommunications.
