Flood warnings in parts of southern Sweden

🔺 Rain and snow melt caused lakes to flood and rivers to overflow. The Swedish meteorological agency SMHI issued weather warnings for flooding and high water discharge in parts of southern and central Sweden. Here you will find information about the warning levels.

Red level warnings 🔺

A red warning means that the weather conditions can seriously endanger public safety, and cause very serious damage to property and extensive disruption to services.

Orange level warnings 🔶

An orange warning means that the weather can endanger public safety, and cause serious damage to property and disruption of some public services. The public is advised to avoid exposure to the water and to take measures to reduce risk for life and property.

The public should refrain from all activities that entail exposure to the water and to reduce consequences for life, property and the environment.

Yellow level warnings 🟡

There are also several yellow level warnings for flooding and/or high water discharge in other parts of southern and middle Sweden.
