Warning for high water flows in Norrbotten rivers

The Swedish weather agency SMHI has issued an orange level warning for high water discharge. The warning concerns the river Rautasälven and river Kaitumälven upstream of lake Kaitumjaure in Norrbotten county.

The high flow is caused by snow melt in combination with rain. There will be very fast flowing water in rivers and smaller watercourses. The weather is expected from Friday 23 June until further notice.

An orange level warning is the second highest of weather warnings.
