Military exercise can affect traffic

A large NATO exercise, Trident Juncture 18, will be conducted in Norway starting on 25 October. Since units from several countries will be moved through Sweden prior to and during the exercise, road traffic can be affected.

For example, the transports will take place via Öresund Bridge, the port of Umeå  and the airport in Luleå. Swedish Radio channel P4 will inform, in Swedish, about traffic disruptions.

In the event of defense exercises, there may be convoys with many and perhaps slow-moving vehicles. Take another route if possible and avoid driving around convoys where there is no throughway.

According to the traffic regulation, it is not permitted to break or block a military convoy or a convoy of vehicles that belong to emergency services.
